The new Sadler's Wells is the fifth theatre on this Clerkenwell site since Dick Sadler's Musick House first opened in 1683 and so continues over three hundred years of theatrical history. The theatre complex is much enlarged and now includes a studio theatre, a lecture theatre, three rehearsal studios as well as hospitality suites and seminar rooms.

Sadler's Wells boasts a changing programme of world class performance, including the best in national and international dance and lyric theatre. Since reopening Rambert Dance Company, Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera, NDT1, Pina Bausch and leading companies from Europe, Japan and America have performed to packed houses.

During the daytime, the theatre is transformed into a modern meetings facility which has played host to prestigious companies such as Andersen Consulting, BP Amoco, British Telecommunications, Channel Four Television, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Prudential and Unilever.
