An afternoon of performance and practical work to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Corali Dance Company.
Over a period of 5 days, dancers from Corali and Mathew Bourne's world renowned company, New Adventures have come together for a unique creative exchange. Choreographic ideas developed by the Corali dancers have been shared with New Adventures to create a series of new short pieces entitled Scapes, performed collaboratively by the dancers of both companies.
Scapes is part of Visual Voices, a new training programme developed by Corali and new company, Project Volume. The project is supported by the London Cultural Skills fund, enabling artists with learning disabilities to develop cultural leadership skills.
The performance will be followed by an open workshop for school and community groups, delivered by dancers from Corali and New Adventures. Participants will be introduced to the many ideas of Scapes, which will culminate in the creation of their own short dance works.
